Meeting at Grandpa's Condo
What do you get after 9 hours in the car?
Cousins!
What is missing? Pictures of the hours spent playing baseball with Uncle Josh. Pictures of the hours spent riding scooters. Pictures of the playgrounds, tag games, jump ropes, sunburns, dominoes...
WHY are they missing? Because I spent hours and hours with my sister!

Bring It On
Come on drought. Come on disaster. Give it to us. But please don't last longer than 14 days.
For any wondering if the people of Sahuarita are prepared in case of an emergency, let me just say Bring it on! (Yes, I do this for church. I get to do this lovely order monthly, Emergency Essentials LOVES me.)
17 55-gallon water barrels (55-gallons, enough water for 4 people for 14 days)
Over 1,000 pounds of food and barrels. You should have seen the neighbors faces.

I sat outside all day trying to get people to come and pick up their stuff. However, when it was time for the public school to get out, I went in the house. I didn't want to see the faces of the neighborhood mom's picking up their kids. They already think I'm funny for homeschooling, but now I must be crazy to have loads of food and water barrels in my front yard. I am that 'one weird lady' on the street. Just wait, they'll be stopping by in an emergency, and the renters of our house will be very confused.
Out
If you are looking for me, I have moved to the baseball diamond down the road. My life has been taken from me and a bleacher has been given as a replacement. We have baseball Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I hope to be home sometime around the end of June so that I can pack up my mitts and move.

Patterns
For Sale (Do you see a pattern here?) one mouthy boy, almost 5. Sure to keep you moving, usually to and from time out. Occasionally soap may be required. This one, today, I am giving him away. Please call!
(I asked Jag to grab his, Noah's and my flip flops out of the shoe box. He put his on and then said, "Why don't you just go ahead and grab the others, I'm not going to do it." When I got after him he wanted to know if I was just being lazy about it.)

For Sale: One Artist
For Sale One 2Year Old Artist. He has potential, he practices often. Often on different, questionable mediums. In fact, just today he took a black marker and made a masterpiece, "Cookies" on the bedroom walls. Please let me know if you'd enjoy having your own artist, or masterpiece. He will be cheap, just enough to cover the cost of more paint!
Desperate Measures
Have you ever had cravings? I mean really bad cravings. Not because you are pregnant and just need it, but cravings that are totally out of the blue and desperate? I have been suffering. At about 11pm it hit me...I NEED cookie dough. Need it now. Chocolate Chip. I honestly considered making up a batch right then. I dug through my freezer trying to find some, but remembered I ate what was once in there...really good frozen too. Then I found it, Darin's Valentine. Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. His favorite. I was in a deep condition of NEED here, so I did the only thing any sane person would do, I got a spoon. I dug around and ate only the cookie dough pieces out of it. I left my Valentine a nice pint of great vanilla ice cream (that's what he gets for leaving me for so long). I had satisfied my cravings enough that I could sleep. First thing in the morning, oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough. I baked 2 dozen for the boys and I am debating what to do with the rest. Bake and give away, OR grab a big spoon and make sure my cravings are really taken care of. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
