For Sale: One Artist
For Sale One 2Year Old Artist. He has potential, he practices often. Often on different, questionable mediums. In fact, just today he took a black marker and made a masterpiece, "Cookies" on the bedroom walls. Please let me know if you'd enjoy having your own artist, or masterpiece. He will be cheap, just enough to cover the cost of more paint!

This is why you don't buy markers, Jessica. Or mascara. Or string. Because kids will find a way to use ANYTHING to destroy anything else!
ReplyDeleteWhen we were house hunting, we found one house that had a large (1'x2') square in the middle of their hallway. Apparently, one of their kids had scribbled on the wall, they thought it was cute, so they just painted AROUND the scribble - and left it there for the next homeowner to "enjoy." Needless to say, we didn't buy the house.
ReplyDeleteHowever, we happen to be friends with the family who did end up buying the house (it's a small island) and I recently asked them about it. They told me that their son has added to the scribble drawing, so they've decided to keep it.
Frankly, I just don't think I love my kids' "art" quite that much.
I am with you. WE have gone to color wonder markers, they only write on the "special paper" It has saved me allot of scrubbing. Although with older kids in the house who have those blasted "other" markers, ABi always seems to find one and give herself lovely tattoos, especaiily on sunday mornings before church.
