Sea World's Hallowscream

We had visitors!! My dad, Cathy, brother Drewbie, and Jaylynn's oldest daughter Bailee Button, came to visit us for 5 fun filled days. We went to Sea World's Hallowscream. We had a wonderful time. The lines were short and the skeletons were plenty. The kids would sit on the first row of every show trying to get wet. Grandpa bought bucket after bucket of popcorn and grandma provided the ice cream. It was fantastic weather with fantastic company.

I am going to include so many pictures it will make you scream at our Hallowscream trip.

Grandpa bought fish to feed the seals and later the dolphins.

The scariest creatures we saw.

Anya was happy the entire day.

The kids were able to trick-or-treat "under the sea." Noah with the octopus.

We had to force the older kids to stand here so that I could take their picture. Crazy birds.

Do they have scary attitudes?

Grandma in the Haunted Forest.

Feeding the dolpins was a treat.

Dress Up

I LOVE playing dress up with Anya. It is so much fun to pick out her clothes. I just didn't have this much fun dressing her brothers. Darin wouldn't have let me dress them whimpy.

We even tried out a BIG bow. She was covered in pink that day. One lady told me I was being mean by doing her hair. When I explained that she has 4 older brothers the lady quickly agreed that it just had to be done. Her dad isn't a fan of bows, especially large ones, but even he will have to admit she's darling.

My new favorite thing is to dress her in her October clothes. I made her this skirt to match her Halloween clothes.
My absolute favorite find was the $1 striped LEGWARMERS from Target. Fat girls can so wear stripes! She wears her Halloween clothing at least once a week. October is just too short.

I cry everytime I have to put her outgrown clothes away. I need a little girl to hand these down to. After using clothes boy after boy, I feel I get my money's worth. But with just one girl, what a shame to put them away. If you know someone in need of summer newborn girl clothes, let me know. I'd love to see these stripes on a chunky little girl next year.

Still In Love!

The novelity of a baby sister has not worn off. All her brothers are still so very, very in love with everything about her. She loves them just as much. Jaggy can make her laugh harder than anyone. Davis gets her kisses. Noah will do anything for her and I am sure she will take advantage of that one day. Christian loves to talk with her. She is very vocal just like he is.

Her life is pretty good. 4 boys constantly fawning over her and giving her anything she wants just to make her stop crying, laugh, or talk. (If only they were that way with eachother...) I hope they will forever be like this.

Jag told me that his life wasn't good before Anya came into it. I agree, she has made our family complete.

4 Months

My baby is growing up and getting much bigger everyday. These are the 4 month pictures. I have her 5 month picture to put up next. You may notice that she is a little bit of a chunker. She is carrying a lot of her weight in her thighs. They are squeezably soft.

Student Council

*I finally have my computer back! It has been a long month and now it is time to start catching up.

Davis decided that he wanted to run for Student Council President at Wilder Intermediate School. So, we started the campaign. We have a teenage friend from church who helped by making his AWESOME posters. Such a help for me! Davis thought that they were the best.

*School Mascot is the roadrunner.

We had to have hand outs (bribes) to give out. Without my computer, we were handwriting hundreds of these fun things. I was happy the election was only a week.

We made him a shirt to wear on the day he gave his speech to the school. I had only bought 1 package of iron-on letters and when I realized that we were really limited by the lack of letters, we had to improvise on our catchy slogan. Short and sweet. The power of suggestion.

I was so proud of Davis. He decided that he wanted to do something and he just did it. He didn't let his fears get in the way. He has a real "go get'um" attitude that I admire. I'd vote for him because I think that he is cute (thinking like a 6th grade girl) and he'd do a great job.

What do you know, I wasn't the only one! Hurray Davis Fawcett, Student Council President!!
Recently I was at his school and it is so funny how many people teachers and students alike, refer to him as only "Mr. President." He was his own kind of rock star. Fortunately he doesn't let it go to his head, or make us call him that at home.

Reinventing My Wheel

Most people don't get very many opportunities to reinvent themselves. You know take out a little something or add a little something to yourself. Moving as often as we do allows me time to reinvent myself. One move, I decided to be that outgoing person who introduces themselves first. That lasted for about a month before I went back to just waiting for someone to introduce themselves first. I know that is lame, but that is just who I am. I've "tried out" the crafter, the runner, the food storage guru, the crazy lady, the calm lady, the butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker. All of them, but always just come back to me.

When Darin is gone I get a chance to try out new things and change myself some more. Bangs, yep. Hair dye, yep. New makeup, new clothes. All just little changes to see what I like before someone I like is around again. Somethings might stay changed while others may go back to the way it was before...bangs are a little hard to get rid of.

I thought that I could put off exercising and getting in shape, because Darin would be gone forever, and it was too hot to think about. However, I may have put it off for too long, he is coming home in 2 months. Can I get in shape before then? What about my arm flags? Could I make them arms of steel in 2 months? What about those shoes that look like orthopaedic footware, but claim to tone your backside? Do they work well enough that you throw fashion out the window and wear them? Should I be known as the girl with no fashion sense, but a tight butt? Maybe.

I've got to do something with my time. I am going to go crazy. I am going to be known as the girl who has a husband, in about 2 months.

Any suggestions on what I should reinvent this week?

I can now be known as the girl who has a computer again!!
