Next Stop: Amsterdam Cheese Farm

When planning our trip to Amsterdam, we knew we had to stop at a cheese farm much to Davis' dismay (not a cheese fan).  This one is just outside the city. The owners/farmer is so fun, friendly, and speaks English...a plus.

Wooden shoes!  We are definately in Holland.  Yes, they call it Holland.  Davis kept correcting us and calling it "The Netherlands" but really it is Holland.

Cheese!  Gouda is the speciality here in Holland.  It only takes a morning to make cheese.  I thought it was much longer.  This area was quite stinky.

Samples.  Yum!  We just stopped and ate every kind they had.

"Yum, Cheese."  This boy loves his cheese.

Stinging Nettle Gouda.  It actually has a stronger and different (herby?) flavor than you'd think.

Visiting the cows that provided the milk for the cheese was Anya's favorite part.

Cute little farm house.  Enjoying our picnic lunch before heading into the city.
